The accounting technician certificate is a one-year program designed to prepare you for entry level accounting positions in payables/receivables, bookkeeping and payroll accounting. Students who have completed the bookkeeping occupational endorsement will be able to apply their credits towards the applied accounting certificate. Courses will enable you to develop a foundation of knowledge in accounting principles, payroll accounting, accounting software systems, and income tax. The certificate program also includes general business coursework and general education courses in communications, applied mathematics and human relations.
