The programme benefits from a blended delivery at Letterkenny, where students work in industry-grade IIoT labs and with a 7-axis Hexagon scanner.

The structure includes two taught semesters followed by a research project. In semester 1, students study Industrial Internet of Things & Cyber-Physical Systems, Data Science & Machine Learning, and Virtual Manufacturing & Digital Twins. Semester 2 expands on these topics with Digital Inspection & Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Automation, and Sustainable Manufacturing Systems. The programme concludes with a 30-credit dissertation that brings together the acquired knowledge.
