Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace Engineering covers the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft and spacecraft systems, spanning aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, and flight dynamics. Students build a foundation in mathematics, physics, and mechanics before studying specialized topics such as fluid dynamics, materials for aerospace structures, and control systems, supported by laboratory and design coursework that applies theory to vehicle performance problems. The program develops the analytical and design skills needed to work on complex engineering systems operating under demanding physical conditions. Graduates pursue careers in aircraft and spacecraft design, aviation, defense industries, and further graduate study in aerospace or mechanical engineering. The program is offered in English at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, over a duration of 4 years.
