Agricultural Engineering at the University of Agriculture in Krakow is a bachelor's degree taught in English in Kraków, Poland, spanning three and a half years, or seven semesters, with annual tuition of 2000.0 EUR. The syllabus is built on essential and general subjects, including botany, chemistry, plant physiology, and economics, alongside thematic modules covering technical foundations, the basics of agriculture, agricultural production, horticultural production, livestock production, and agricultural economics. Each module combines lectures, seminars, and laboratory classes, and about one third of all courses are optional. The programme also gives students the chance to learn Polish language and culture. Classes and lectures start on two dates each year, 1 October and 15 February, and the minimum number of candidates required to start the programme is 10 people, which keeps groups small enough to support individual working relationships between students and teachers. Students' progress is evaluated based on their active participation in and contribution to the programme. After completing the bachelor's degree, graduates receive the professional title of inżynier, the Polish equivalent of engineer, with a note confirming the programme was taught in English. Graduates can continue into the postgraduate, second-cycle Agroecology programme, or proceed to PhD study. Agricultural engineering as a field brings together agricultural science and engineering methods, covering crop and livestock systems, soil management, and the technologies used in food production, preparing graduates for roles in agricultural management, technical and engineering positions connected to farming, and further academic study.
