Bachelor in Alte Geschichte

Students can take the module Einführung in die Griechische und Römische Geschichte in the first semester. The Bachelor’s in Ancient History, offered by the University of Saarland, is a six-semester programme with a strong focus on the study of ancient civilizations. Students gain a deep understanding of the historical, cultural, and social aspects of ancient Greece and Rome, as well as the broader context of the ancient Mediterranean world. This direct access to archaeological sites and research institutions enriches the academic experience. A final thesis, supervised by faculty, allows students to explore an aspect of ancient history in depth.
