Bachelor in American Culture

The study of American Culture at Sogang University, part of the Division of English within Mapo-gu, South Korea, examines the literature, history, society, and values of the United States. Coursework typically includes American literature from different periods, U.S. history and politics, popular culture and media, and the social movements that have shaped American identity over time. Students also strengthen their English-language skills through close reading, writing, and discussion of primary texts, making the program useful both as an area-studies degree and as an advanced English-language track.
