About Bachelor in American studies

For Bachelor in American studies, tuition costs 6,425 USD per year.

Taught in English at the University of Warsaw, American Studies is a bachelor's degree based in Warszawa, Poland, spanning three years with annual tuition of 3000.0 EUR. The American Studies Center delivers the programme as a cross-disciplinary department, with faculty researching and teaching topics across United States culture, society, literature, art, film, media, history, economy, politics, law, and ideas. Both Polish and international scholars make up the faculty, including three permanent professors from the US, and classes are supplemented by resident and guest instructors. Students graduate with specialized knowledge of American society and culture as well as the relationship between the US and the rest of the world, including Europe. Coursework begins with introductory lectures spanning the disciplines within the curriculum, followed by a broad set of elective options; each student completes nine elective classes, three each in art and literature, history and society, and politics, and is encouraged to select electives that support individual research interests. An academic writing class covering English composition is also part of the programme, and students must attend at least 60 hours of lectures, conferences, or debates hosted by the American Studies Center, other university departments, or outside institutions of learning and culture. Running across three years, or six semesters, the entire programme is delivered in English. On completion, students receive a licencjat degree, comparable to a Bachelor of Arts, in cultural studies focused on the United States, positioning graduates for careers spanning international relations, media, education, and cultural or diplomatic work connecting the US and Europe.
