Abu Dhabi Polytechnic's Applied Bachelor in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering prepares students for the technical work of inspecting, servicing and repairing aircraft to keep them safe and airworthy. The discipline combines mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals with training specific to aviation, covering subjects such as aircraft structures, propulsion systems, avionics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the regulatory standards that govern airworthiness and maintenance procedures. Students in an applied engineering program of this kind typically split their time between theoretical coursework and hands-on technical training, learning to read technical manuals, diagnose faults, carry out scheduled maintenance and understand the documentation and quality processes required in a regulated aviation environment. Because aircraft maintenance is a heavily regulated field, the curriculum generally also addresses safety management, human factors in maintenance work, and the standards set by national and international civil aviation authorities.
