DATA SCIENCE APPLICATA

Tuition comes to 1,350 EUR per year.

Applied Data Science focuses on extracting insight and value from data using statistical methods, computing tools, and domain knowledge. Students in this field typically study subjects including statistics, machine learning, data mining, databases, and programming, learning how to collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data drawn from a wide range of sources. Coursework often emphasizes practical, hands-on application, with students working on projects that involve building models, analyzing datasets, and communicating findings clearly to non-technical audiences, alongside the theoretical foundations of statistics and computer science that underpin data analysis. Because data now plays a central role in decision-making across nearly every sector, from business and healthcare to public policy and technology, the demand for professionals who can work with data effectively continues to grow. Graduates of applied data science programs typically pursue careers as data analysts, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and business intelligence specialists, working across industries that rely on data-driven decision-making. This master's degree in Applied Data Science is offered by Università degli Studi dell'Aquila in L'Aquila, Italy, and is delivered in English over two years. The program is designed for students who already hold an undergraduate degree, often in a quantitative or technical field, and want to develop more advanced skills in data analysis and applied statistics. Graduates leave with a practical toolkit for working with data, combining statistical reasoning, programming ability, and domain awareness, skills that are relevant across a wide and growing range of industries and job functions.
