Applied Gerontology

The Applied Gerontology program is designed for individuals who already hold a bachelor's or master's degree and wish to deepen their understanding of the mental and psychosocial aspects of aging. This one-year program focuses on improving the quality of life for older adults through a multidisciplinary approach. Ideal candidates are those who are passionate about enhancing the well-being of seniors and are eager to contribute to an inclusive society.

Students will engage in four theoretical modules, each culminating in a practical project that addresses real-world gerontological challenges. Topics include gerontechnology, active and healthy aging, and interprofessional collaboration. This hands-on experience ensures that graduates are well-prepared to implement innovative solutions in various settings, from healthcare to community services.

Graduates of the program often pursue roles such as gerontological consultant, working in local governments, healthcare facilities, or educational institutions. They may also take on additional responsibilities in their current jobs, such as team coaching or training. The skills acquired in this program are transferable across various sectors, making graduates valuable assets in the growing field of gerontology.
