Automation and Instrumentation

Each week you will work in a virtual laboratory and coding environment, analysing circuits, programming PLCs and Arduino boards, and simulating pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Laboratory exercises and weekly assignments develop practical skills in sensor integration, control logic and data communication.

The course includes a distinctive hands-on component: an official Arduino kit is provided for the Programming Communications and Interfacing module, allowing you to build and test real-world automation projects at home.

The programme prepares you for roles such as Automation Technician, Instrumentation Technician or Control Systems Technician in sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and energy. It is delivered online on a part-time basis, offering flexibility for working professionals.
