Master in Automation & Control (A&C)

Automation & Control (A&C) is a four-semester Master's programme at RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau requiring the completion of 120 ECTS credits. The compulsory portion of the curriculum covers Logic Control, Nonlinear and Adaptive Controlling, Digital Signal Processing, Robust Control, Mechatronic Systems, Lab Automation and Control, Methods of Soft-Control, Modelling and Identification, and a seminar with a selectable topic. Together these subjects build a thorough technical foundation in modern control engineering. Beyond the compulsory core, students compose an elective portion from a wide range of modules offered by the Electrical and Information Technology (EIT) department, subject-related modules from other RPTU departments, and individual projects carried out either at an RPTU chair or in industry. Starting in either the Winter or Summer semester, the programme follows an instructor-led structure with defined timelines for lectures, assignments, and examinations. The programme is offered in English and is based at RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau in Kaiserslautern.
