Bachelor Berufsbegleitend "Optometrie"

Studied in Jena, this 4-semester programme where you can start in April or October is open to those with a Meisterabschluss, without an Abitur, and offers 14 Präsenztermine, plus a Bachelorarbeit.

The programme enhances practical skills in optometric practice, with a focus on analysing visual functions and managing optometric cases. It also covers specialist contact lens fitting, low-vision provision, business management, and study skills, including statistics, English, and case discussions. The programme has a high practical component, preparing students for roles in specialised optometric practices, ophthalmological institutions, and related optical businesses. It is taught by the Optometrie department of EAH Jena.
