Bachelor Innenarchitektur

Graduates go on to shape the built environment, creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces in sectors including interior design, furniture design, and architectural projects. The programme teaches how to combine technical, design, and organisational skills to serve human needs, enabling graduates to work in diverse roles or further study in Master's programmes.

Students of the Bachelor Innenarchitektur at the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart engage in a six-semester, application-oriented programme focusing on design and aesthetics. This programme stresses the relationship between buildings, interiors, furnishings, and décor, addressing the holistic concerns of architecture. Students learn essential technical, design, and organisational skills, equipping them to become proficient generalists, adept at handling various aspects of interior architecture.

As well as core modules like Raumentwurf, Möbelentwurf, Szenografie and Grundlagen der Gestaltung, students explore topics such as anthropology, ergonomics, psychology, and design history. They also benefit from international exchange programmes with partner institutions in Europe and beyond, such as Lahti University of Applied Sciences, the University of Ferrara, and the Glasgow School of Art.
