Professional Experience and Classroom Integration

Embedded within this degree is an extensive professional experience program, requiring students to complete a minimum of 80 days of supervised teaching in diverse primary school settings. This hands-on approach ensures that theory is immediately applied to real-world classroom dynamics from the very first year of study.

Designed for aspiring educators who are passionate about shaping young minds, this programme provides a deep dive into the pedagogical frameworks necessary to teach the full primary school curriculum. Students develop expertise in literacy, numeracy, and STEM education, while also exploring the socio-emotional needs of children aged 5-12. The course is deeply informed by current research in cognitive development and inclusive education practices.

Key highlights of the programme include:

• Specialised training in teaching diverse learners, including students with disabilities and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
• A focus on evidence-based teaching strategies that improve student outcomes in core subjects.
• Opportunities to engage with the latest educational technologies and digital learning environments.
• Direct pathways to accreditation with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA), ensuring graduates are classroom-ready upon completion.
