Accredited by Engineers Australia at the professional engineer level and recognised through the Washington Accord, the Mining Engineering programme meets international standards for engineering graduates. It blends core engineering fundamentals with specialised study of mine planning, occupational health and safety, mine water, ocean engineering, geostatistics and environmental impact, preparing you to address the technical and societal challenges of mineral extraction.

This four-year degree is aimed at students who have completed at least 13 years of schooling, achieved an ATAR of 80 or equivalent, and studied subjects such as mathematics and physics. It offers a 12-week industry placement, hands-on projects and the option to pursue a double major, guiding you toward roles such as mining engineer, mine planner, safety engineer or project manager.
