The Bachelor of Science Nursing program prepares recent high school graduates and career changers to become registered nurses. Students study biological, social sciences, humanities, and nursing theory combined with clinical practice. The curriculum uses concept-based learning to develop clinical reasoning and judgment. Graduates are ready to work in diverse healthcare settings across Nova Scotia.

3-year program with 8 semesters; includes on-campus and off-campus clinical placements; first-year clinical course is 3 weeks long in May; academic years end in July each year.

Graduates enter roles as registered nurses in hospitals, community health, long-term care, and palliative care settings.

High school diploma or equivalent; required courses include Grade 12 English and four additional senior-level courses; overall average of B or better; IB Diploma with score of 24 or higher including IB English; applicants must complete required courses with a 4 or better if from IB program; international students must meet English language requirements.

On-campus, full-time, 3 years.
