Bachelor of Technology in Mechatronics Engineering

Tuition fees are 57,750 AED per year.

Mechatronics Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that combines mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science, and control systems to design and build intelligent machines and automated systems, such as robotics, automated manufacturing equipment, and smart devices. A Bachelor of Technology in Mechatronics Engineering, offered by Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and taught in English, introduces students to mechanical design, electronics and circuits, control systems, robotics, sensors and actuators, and programming, alongside the mathematics and physics foundations that support these subjects. Students also typically study areas such as automation, microprocessors, and computer-aided design, learning how mechanical, electrical, and computing systems work together within a single integrated device or system. The program combines classroom learning with laboratory and project work, giving students practical experience building and programming systems that sense, process information, and act on their environment, which is the essence of mechatronic design. Because mechatronics sits at the intersection of several engineering disciplines, graduates are prepared for a broad set of technical roles across manufacturing, robotics, automotive, and automation industries. Career paths include work as mechatronics engineers, robotics engineers, automation engineers, and control systems engineers, with graduates often finding roles in manufacturing plants, robotics companies, and industries that rely on automated production systems. Some graduates pursue postgraduate study in robotics, automation, or a related engineering specialization. Studying mechatronics in Dubai gives students exposure to a region with expanding manufacturing, logistics, and advanced technology sectors that increasingly rely on automation and robotics, offering practical context for an engineering program delivered in English and grounded in international standards for engineering education.
