Civil engineers work to enhance the quality of life for all people through designing and constructing society’s infrastructure, such as buildings, highways, pipelines, water systems and mass transit systems. They often are responsible for planning, managing, operating and maintaining these facilities. OU's civil engineering program works to train students to create these structures in the most innovative and cost-effective ways.
