These professionals manage doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers to improve the way healthcare is delivered. CBU’s healthcare administration major blends healthcare courses with a business administration minor so that students leave with the interpersonal communication, analytic and management skills that are needed to be leaders in the healthcare industry. The healthcare administration major follows the competencies and guidelines set forth by the ACHE and the AUPHA that includes coursework and training in healthcare ethics, finance, strategic planning, information technology, management and leadership. This culminates in an internship in healthcare administration under the mentorship of an experienced healthcare leader in the field during the student's senior year.
