The Bachelor in North American Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University is a degree program for students who want to explore the connections between Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This four-year program helps students understand North America as a unique historical, cultural, and economic entity. Students can focus on areas like business, culture, or public policy.

The curriculum lets students design their degree by combining it with another Bachelor of Arts program, such as Communication Studies or English. Students can also add options or minors like Global Studies, History, or International Public Policy to broaden their knowledge. First-year courses include introductory classes on North America and elective credits in subjects like French or popular culture. Upper-year courses cover topics like Canadian identities and managing borders in North America.

Graduates of this program can pursue careers as Policy Analysts, International Trade Specialists, Cultural Consultants, or Border Management Officers. They can work in industries like government, non-profit organizations, or private companies that operate in North America. Employers may include the Canadian government, the US Department of State, or companies like FedEx or UPS that specialize in international trade and logistics.
