Bachelorstudiengang Geschichte

Studien- und Fachprüfungsordnung published in 2021 governs this programme. The Bachelor of Arts in History at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg allows students to explore a broad range of historical periods and topics, from ancient times to the present day. Modules are taught in German and English, and students may elect to write their thesis in either language. This programme includes a mandatory orientation period in the first semester, as well as a mandatory internship of at least 8 weeks in a relevant institution. Students may also choose to take a semester abroad, subject to approval.

Students can choose between a Bachelor of Arts in History in a single subject, or a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor subject (which can be chosen from a range of disciplines).
