Bachelor in Bauingenieurwesen (Bachelor)

Bauingenieurwesen graduates are well positioned for careers in construction, planning, and management sectors. With five specialisation options, such as Geotechnik or Verkehrswesen, the programme prepares students for roles in fields like Baumanagement, Bahnbau, and Straßenbau. In addition to traditional learning, TH Köln encourages project-based, interdisciplinary and practical experience, starting with a first-semester project week and continuing with a semester-long 'Planerisches Projekt'.

The taught modules include a range of subjects from Mathematik to Baustoffkunde. The programme is offered as a 7-semester full-time degree, or a 9-semester dual study with a vocational training component in collaboration with the Berufsförderungswerk der Bauindustrie NRW gGmbH.
