Students at Heriot-Watt University's Dubai Campus study the first and only Architectural Engineering programme in the Gulf region offering a UK degree. This programme uniquely combines engineering skills with digital innovation, design, and building management, focusing on energy, CO2, and functional performance of buildings, along with architectural design and human response to the built environment. Students explore themes including energy and sustainability of buildings, systems and whole building design, and human behaviour and interaction with buildings. The curriculum emphasizes designing buildings for the future, including energy efficiency, zero emission, climate change, and renewable energy.
