Big Band Conducting Course

The Big Band Conducting Course is a non-degree program, lasting six months, taught in English. It's for musicians and aspiring conductors who want to enhance their jazz ensemble leadership skills.

The curriculum includes conducting gestures, rehearsal techniques, and score analysis. Students engage with real musicians, learning the essentials of conducting and collaboration, and participate in a live conducting experience at the Imatra Big Band Camp.

Graduates can pursue careers as Conductors, Music Educators, Ensemble Leaders, Jazz Band Directors, or Orchestra Conductors, working in the music industry, schools, or orchestras.
