About Master in Biodiversité, Ecologie et Evolution

In the first year, students in the M1 Ecologie module acquire fundamentals in evolutionary ecology, functional ecology, and field ecology, including ecological diagnosis and management planning. The second semester deepens skills in functional ecology, conservation ecology, and population dynamics, with modules that combine theory and field studies. The second year of the Biodiversité Ecologie Evolution master splits into six specializations, ranging from evolutionary genomics to environmental pollution management. Some pathways, like EVEF and EVOGem, focus on research, while others, such as ECIRE and AEP, prepare students for roles in both research and expertise. The student body is diverse, including students from various science backgrounds and professionals in career transitions, with tailored support for those needing to refresh their ecological knowledge.
