Graduates are qualified to pursue advanced research and academic careers in biological sciences. The programme focuses on original research in specialized areas of biology. Students work closely with faculty supervisors in a research-intensive environment. The programme requires completion of a thesis and advanced coursework.

Focus areas include Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolution, Neurobiology and Physiology, Plant Sciences and Oenology Viticulture.

Thesis - 12 terms (4 years).

Applicants must have a relevant master's degree. Three references are required. A Statement of Research Interest must be submitted. A potential thesis supervisor must be identified and agree to supervise. International applicants must meet English language requirements.
