Master in Biomedical Sciences (MSc)

The MSc in Biomedical Sciences at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg takes a practical approach to modern biomedicine, with all courses taught in English. The programme develops a solid advanced theoretical background in biomedicine alongside hands-on experience with biological methods, and places emphasis on analytical, decision-making, and social skills. An industry track within the programme provides exposure to the biomedical industry. The programme runs four semesters and requires 72 class hours, of which 18 are elective and 28 are practical laboratory hours. Courses cover applied clinical research, pharmacology and toxicology, pathophysiology, virology, neurobiology, clinical chemistry, medical proteomics, and human genetics. Elective courses span microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, physiology, biophysics, bioinformatics, and chemistry. The Master's thesis can be completed in an industrial or academic setting.
