The mandatory 5-credit module Bioanalytical Techniques introduces analytical test methods used in biopharmaceutical Quality Control laboratories, covering test specifications, critical quality attributes and platform instrumentation while developing scientific writing and oral communication skills.

Biopharmaceutical processing studies how biologics are manufactured, the control of contamination, the design and operation of specialised facilities, and the validation of processes from bench-scale research through to full-scale production. Modules on Lean-Six Sigma, advanced single-use technologies, project management and research methods provide the analytical, managerial and regulatory knowledge needed for industry or regulatory careers. Practical labs and a research proposal further reinforce applied skills.

The course blends theory with hands-on laboratory and project work.
