Master in Bioprocessing

Bioprocessing examines how biologic medicines are produced from living cells, covering the scientific and engineering challenges of upstream cell culture, downstream purification, regulatory compliance and product delivery. The programme places these topics within the context of the rapidly expanding biopharmaceutical sector, responding to the need for skilled professionals who can bridge science and manufacturing.

The full-time one-year structure is split into two semesters. In the first semester students study manufacturing theory, legislation, biocontamination control, bioanalytical techniques and research methods. The second semester adds hands-on laboratory work, formulation and delivery, and Lean Six Sigma operations management, culminating in a research project.
