About the Program

The PhD programme for Anna Kuzmany is linked through the field of bovine fertility, which is affected by several environmental challenges, including high milk performance, health problems, and disorders in animal management. This is an interdisciplinary research project, hosted by the Veterinary University of Vienna.

Anna Kuzmany's research aims to improve the success of In Vitro Production in cattle by better understanding the viability of oocytes and embryos temporally cultured in different environments. Through monitoring the presence and availability of steroid hormones in the cultivation process, Kuzmany aims to improve the viability of embryos in vitro, where current methods still have significant shortcomings.
