Bachelor in BTS - Services - Gestion de la PME

The BTS - Services - Gestion de la PME (Higher Technician Certificate in Small and Medium Enterprise Management) is a two-year bachelor-level vocational programme at Institution Sevigne in Compiègne, France. The course is taught in French and begins in September. Small and medium-sized enterprises form the backbone of the French private sector, and this qualification is specifically designed to prepare graduates for the broad administrative and operational responsibilities that arise within these organisations. Students develop practical skills across a wide range of SME functions, including general business administration, bookkeeping and financial monitoring, procurement and supplier relations, human resources support, and customer relationship management. Legal compliance, contract drafting, and the use of professional office software and digital management tools are also core components of the curriculum. Training is closely tied to workplace realities, and students typically complete supervised internship periods within SME environments as part of their qualification. Written and oral communication skills receive particular attention, reflecting the fact that graduates often serve as key administrative contacts within their organisations, managing correspondence, meeting coordination, and internal reporting. On completion, graduates are equipped for roles as administrative assistants, office managers, executive assistants, or management secretaries in SMEs, liberal professions, and professional service firms. The qualification is broadly recognised across the French private sector.
