Business Administration is the study of how organizations are planned, financed, staffed, and directed toward their goals. The discipline covers the core functional areas of a company, including accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, operations, and strategic planning, along with the economic and legal environment in which businesses operate. Students typically build a foundation in microeconomics and macroeconomics before moving into more applied subjects such as financial accounting, corporate finance, organizational behavior, marketing management, and business law. Many programs also introduce quantitative methods, statistics, and decision-making tools that support analysis of markets, budgets, and operations.
