This diploma prepares graduates to work as financial professionals. Students learn financial planning, industry standards, products and services, tax and legal considerations, risk management, and customer service skills. The program includes hands-on experience with industry partners and case competitions. Graduates enter roles in financial institutions such as banking, investment, insurance, and real estate.

Two-year (four-term) program with 4 terms. Full-time status requires a minimum of three courses per Fall or Winter term. Some Spring and Summer terms limit students to two courses. Core courses available online or in person; major courses primarily in person with some online options.

Graduates work as financial professionals in roles such as customer service representatives, banking and investment professionals, finance and insurance clerks, insurance and real estate clerks, or sales and service supervisors.

Credit in English Language Arts 30-1 or 65% in English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalent. Credit in Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 or equivalent. Or successful completion of GED with minimum scores of 520 in Language Arts and Math. Or satisfactory results on Bow Valley College Admission and Placement Test. Or completion of 30 credits from a recognized business program with departmental approval. International students must meet country-specific document requirements.

On-campus and online delivery. Full-time study. Two-year duration.
