The Certificate in Programming is a one-year part-time program for those who want to develop basic skills in programming, web development, and databases. It's a non-degree program taught in English at Dundalk Institute of Technology in Ireland. The program helps participants design and develop simple database web applications, which are highly relevant in the business sector.

The curriculum covers specific subjects like Web Development and Databases, Programming Principles, and Dynamic Web Development. Students learn to create visual content for client-side webpages, structure and style webpages using HTML5 and CSS code, and build on their introductory programming knowledge. They also learn to create dynamic and interactive webpages using client-side and server-side programming.

After completing the program, graduates can pursue careers like Junior Web Developer, Database Administrator, Software Engineer, IT Support Specialist, or Web Application Developer. They can work in various industries, including technology, finance, and healthcare, and can be employed by companies like software development firms, financial institutions, or healthcare organizations.
