Master in Chemical engineering

Chemical Engineering and Technology, with a specialization in Organic and Polymer Technology, is offered as a master's program by the Faculty of Chemistry at Rzeszow University of Technology in Rzeszów, Poland, taught in English, with yearly tuition of 3500 EUR. The graduate acquires broadened knowledge, compared to first-cycle studies, of contemporary chemistry and chemical engineering topics, particularly within their chosen specialty. Graduates are prepared to carry out research and development activities in their selected specialty, covering catalysis, the chemical and engineering principles of industrial processes, modelling and designing process paths, identifying possibilities for modernization, developing technologies in cooperation with specialists from other engineering fields, and implementing these technologies into industrial practice. During the program, students become familiar with rules of environmental protection and sustainable growth, and learn to solve technical production problems within legal, economic, and ethical constraints. Graduates are also trained to work with and lead a group of people. The program prepares students either to start their own business or to work as employees in industry, in research and development units, or in administrative and managing offices, and it encourages ongoing self-education to keep professional knowledge current. Students can continue into third-cycle university education by joining doctoral studies after completing the program. As a broader field, chemical engineering applies principles from chemistry and process design to the development, scale-up, and operation of industrial manufacturing processes, and organic and polymer technology specifically focuses on the chemistry and processing of carbon-based compounds and polymer materials used across a wide range of manufacturing sectors.
