About Master in Chemical Engineering

At TU Bergakademie Freiberg, applications are due 15 Apr.

The Chemical Engineering Master's programme (MCE) at TU Bergakademie Freiberg is a four-semester, fully English-taught degree that builds on an existing foundation of scientific, engineering, and chemical engineering knowledge acquired at Bachelor's level. It is structured around 120 credit points, of which 30 are assigned to the Master's thesis and 55 to ten compulsory modules. The remaining 35 credit points are split between elective modules (29 CP), chosen from a basket of at least 16 options, and free-elective modules (selected from any module offered at the university). This structure allows students to specialise deeply in one area of chemical engineering or to study broadly across multiple disciplines. The compulsory modules include German language instruction, familiarisation with German and Saxon company structures, hands-on laboratory and pilot plant work, and essential Master's-level chemical engineering content. The programme begins each winter semester and is based in Freiberg, Germany.
