Chemistry Teaching prepares students to become chemistry educators, combining substantial chemistry coursework with training in pedagogy and classroom practice. Subjects typically include general, organic, and physical chemistry, laboratory techniques, and courses on curriculum design, assessment, and classroom management specific to science education. Students learn how to explain chemical concepts clearly, design laboratory experiments suitable for secondary school settings, and adapt teaching methods to different learner needs. Practicum placements are a common feature, giving students supervised experience teaching chemistry in real classroom environments. Graduates typically go on to teach chemistry at the secondary school level, work in science curriculum development, or pursue graduate study in education or chemistry. This bachelor's program is offered by Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, a state university, and is delivered in English over 4 years.
