Students with a keen interest in laboratory work and a solid foundation in Chemistry and Mathematics will thrive in the MChem Chemistry with Placement programme at Heriot-Watt University, which includes a year-long placement in industry or studying abroad.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of chemistry, from its fundamental principles to advanced topics, through a combination of traditional lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical experiences. Heriot-Watt's Go Global student mobility programme allows students to study at one of the university's campuses in Dubai, Malaysia, or the UK, or at a partner institution, enriching their academic and cultural experiences. The European Exchange and Worldwide Exchange programmes offer opportunities to spend a full academic year in Europe or globally.
