Chinese Characters Crash Program

The Chinese Characters Crash Program is a non-degree program at East China Normal University for international students who want to improve their Chinese reading and writing skills. It lasts one semester and helps students master at least 2000 characters. The program has a small class size with a maximum of 15 students.

The program teaches the basic and essential knowledge about characters, including strokes, structures, and radicals. Students learn how to memorize characters using efficient and interesting methods. The program also integrates character instruction with words, sentences, and chapters to help students develop a good sense of Chinese characters.
