Sinema ve Televizyon

Tuition costs 8,500 USD per year.

Cinema and Television covers the theory, history, and practice of moving-image storytelling across film and broadcast media. Coursework typically includes screenwriting, cinematography, directing, editing, sound design, and production management, alongside film theory and history courses that trace the development of cinematic and television language. Students work in production teams to write, shoot, and edit short films, documentaries, and television-style segments, gaining hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, and post-production software. Programs often include courses on media industries and distribution, preparing students to understand how content moves from production to audiences through cinemas, broadcasters, and streaming platforms. Graduates pursue careers as directors, producers, editors, cinematographers, screenwriters, and production coordinators, as well as roles in television broadcasting, streaming content production, and media companies. This program is a 4 year bachelor's degree at Bahçeşehir University in İstanbul, Turkey, taught entirely in English, supporting collaboration on international productions and engagement with English-language film scholarship and industry practice. İstanbul hosts a substantial film and television production industry, including studios, broadcasters, and festivals, giving students access to internships and networking opportunities within a working media city. The program structure generally builds technical filmmaking skills in the earlier years before moving toward more specialized production tracks and a capstone film or television project in the final year, allowing students to develop a portfolio suited to entry-level industry roles or further study in film.
