About the Program

The Master's programme in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Munich is a four-semester degree with intakes in both the winter and summer semester. It deepens knowledge and methods from the Bachelor's level and is structured around individual specialisation, with students choosing four fields from 22 available areas. These include structural mechanics, construction process management, foundation engineering, wooden structures, concrete structures, hydromechanics, urban water management, transportation engineering, hydraulic engineering, materials, and others. The programme requires 120 ECTS credits in total, with 30 credits allocated to the Master's thesis. For each field of specialisation, compulsory modules account for 12 credits and elective modules for at least 6 additional credits.
