Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering covers the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, roads, and water systems, spanning structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and construction management. Students study the mechanics of materials and structures alongside surveying, hydraulics, and project management, applying these principles through design coursework and laboratory testing of construction materials. The program develops technical and problem-solving skills needed to plan and deliver infrastructure projects. Graduates pursue careers in construction firms, structural design offices, municipal engineering departments, and infrastructure consulting, as well as further graduate study in civil engineering. The program is offered in English at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, over a duration of 4 years.
