WSG University

Bachelor in Civil engineering

Poland Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

WSG University offers this bachelor's program in Civil engineering, taught in English over 7 semesters. Civil engineering is described as a creative and active field of human activity, one of the most popular and fastest-developing fields of study, meeting needs related to owning a home, workplace, or place of rest. Graduates who earn their engineering degrees are able to design and supervise new building construction. They are prepared to work on private home construction as well as industrial and special-purpose construction projects. Program graduates take on responsibility for many aspects of everyday life: designing schools, renovating and reinforcing existing buildings, and building roads and bridges. Graduates gain the ability to apply their creativity to designing new buildings, along with an awareness of and satisfaction in their contribution to building new structures. They also gain knowledge and skills in using computer software for technical design. Different computer programs are used to perform static calculations and dimensioning of metal, reinforced concrete, and wooden structures, such as Robot Structural Analysis and RM Win. Students also learn to use programs such as AutoCAD and Revit for 2D and 3D drafting, design, and documentation. Civil engineering programs of this kind combine structural theory with hands-on training in industry-standard design software, preparing graduates for roles in construction firms, design offices, and building supervision, where computer-aided design skills are now a standard part of daily engineering practice.
