Humber College is a publicly-funded college located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Humber’s Community and Justice Services diploma program prepares students to help create safe and healthy spaces by applying a social justice, inclusive and anti-oppressive lens in learning about community and institutional sectors of the justice system. Our curriculum combines theory and applied skills focusing on the development of strong interpersonal, problem-solving and assessment abilities. You’ll be prepared for occupations where you will work with people in conflict with the law and other marginalized client groups and will learn about the development of community programs, correctional facilities, restorative justice initiatives and preventative measures. Our faculty are skilled, committed and have direct work experience within community agencies and institutional correctional services beyond their strong educational credentials and active research in the field. As a result, our program has strong community links. Our advisory committee regularly reviews our curriculum, ensuring our program is always on the cutting edge of developments in the field. Students will have opportunity to gain the breadth of knowledge and experience needed to meet the demands of an entry-level position in the field of community and justice services.
