This programme focuses on practical skills for working in public safety and criminal justice. Students learn about criminal law, mental health, and client management in justice settings. The curriculum prepares graduates for entry-level roles in corrections and alternative measures programs. It emphasizes real-world application through relevant course content.

Focus areas include addictions and mental health, criminal justice system, criminal law, interpersonal violence, managing clients in public safety settings, writing in the public safety sector.

Part-time delivery; no fixed duration; students complete courses individually and apply to graduate after finishing all required courses.

Graduates are prepared for entry-level employment in corrections, police agencies, First Nations communities, and outreach or alternative measures programs.

Grade 12 required. English language requirement applies. No formal application or assessment needed. Alternative admission available via ACCUPLACER© with minimum scores of 240 in Reading and 238 in Writing. Some post-secondary credits may substitute for academic requirements.
