Master in Composition

Tuition fees are 521 EUR per year, and applications are due 2026-02-23.

The second-cycle Composition programme continues training in instrumental, vocal and mixed-music composition over two years (120 ECTS), building on the first-cycle DNSPM. Students work toward increased autonomy in the conception and realisation of a compositional project, choosing an instrumental-music or a mixed-music (electroacoustic) major.

Teaching is delivered by the same core composition faculty as the first cycle, supplemented by optional IRCAM curriculum modules and conducting-for-composers classes.

Successful completion leads to the Diplôme de 2e cycle supérieur de Composition, which confers the grade of Master.
