About Master in Computing in Big Data Analytics

Tuition is Total Fees Non-EU: €7,560 — no per-annum wording, treated as a whole-programme total, not annualised.

The programme begins with a ten-credit “Big Data Analytics” module that introduces theoretical concepts of large-scale databases and trains you to evaluate their suitability for industry. Subsequent mandatory modules such as Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Architecture and Data Science each carry ten credits and develop practical skills in data warehousing, visualisation, algorithm implementation and statistical programming. A final thirty-credit Dissertation allows you to apply these techniques to a research project of your choice. Each week you will engage in a mix of online lectures, hands-on lab exercises and collaborative projects, culminating in a cap-stone dissertation that demonstrates your ability to design, implement and communicate data-driven solutions. The course is suited to graduates or professionals with a background in computing, mathematics or a related field who wish to specialise in big data analytics and pursue careers as data engineers, analysts or scientists.
