If you have completed secondary education and wish to combine a general law qualification with specialist knowledge of corporate practice, this BA (Honours) in Corporate Law offers that route. It is aimed at students who are interested in the legal aspects of finance, insurance and trade, and who see themselves working in large law firms, in-house legal teams or regulatory bodies.

From the first semester you study modules such as Introduction to Legal Research Skills and Methods, where you learn to navigate legal databases, draft citations and produce clear legal writing. ICT Skills gives practical experience of modern computer applications and emerging AI tools, while The Irish Legal System and Foundations of Law provide the contextual background for all later study. In later years the programme adds specialist corporate law subjects including business ethics, privacy and data protection, and banking and insurance law, preparing you for the regulatory and compliance challenges faced by companies.

You will spend each week analysing case law, preparing client briefs and engaging in mock trials.
