Bachelor in Cultural Encounters

Graduates of the Cultural Encounters subject go on to work in areas where cultural understanding is key, such as international relations, human rights, and civil society organisations. This programme is part of a bachelor's degree at Roskilde University, where students investigate cultural differences and encounters in local and global contexts. Through interdisciplinary approaches that draw on sociology, anthropology, postcolonial studies, and gender studies, students develop a deep understanding of cultural dynamics and the skills to analyse and engage with issues relating to cultural encounters and diversity. The study is taught entirely in English, and students work on projects and debates on various topics, often organised by the students themselves.
